Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction

President Trump continued for one year the national emergency originally declared by President Clinton in 1994 regarding weapons of mass destruction proliferation, as required by the National Emergencies Act. The notice extends the emergency beyond its November 14, 2017 expiration date without altering its underlying authorities.
