World Hepatitis Day, 2012

This proclamation designates July 28, 2012, as World Hepatitis Day to raise awareness about viral hepatitis as a global and domestic public health threat. It encourages citizens, government agencies, nonprofits, and communities to participate in awareness activities, while highlighting ongoing federal efforts through the Action Plan for Viral Hepatitis, Healthy People 2020, and the Affordable Care Act.
