National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, 2010

President Obama proclaimed September 19-25, 2010 as National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, calling on public officials, educators, and Americans to observe the week with programs and activities recognizing the contributions of Hispanic-Serving Institutions and their graduates. The proclamation highlights the importance of HSIs in educating Hispanic students and advancing U.S. educational goals, but contains no binding policy directives, funding allocations, or regulatory changes.
