National Wilderness Month, 2010

President Obama proclaims September 2010 as National Wilderness Month, encouraging Americans to visit wilderness areas, learn their history, and help protect natural treasures. The proclamation references past conservation efforts including the Wilderness Act of 1964 and his own administration's Omnibus Public Land Management Act and America's Great Outdoors Initiative.
