Women's Equality Day, 2010

This proclamation commemorates the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment's ratification, which guaranteed women the right to vote. It celebrates past progress for women's equality while acknowledging persistent disparities in pay, political representation, and leadership positions, and calls on Americans to recommit to gender equality.
