Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons Responsible for Actions That Threaten Zimbabwe's Democratic Institutions and Transition to a Multi-Party Democracy
President George W. Bush issued Proclamation 7524 on February 22, 2002, suspending entry into the United States of senior Zimbabwe government officials, their spouses, and others who benefit from policies undermining Zimbabwe's democratic institutions. The Secretary of State has sole discretion to identify covered individuals and implement the suspension, which remains in effect until the Secretary determines it is no longer necessary.
