Establishment of the Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument
President Clinton designated approximately 4,148 acres in north central New Mexico as the Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument under the Antiquities Act of 1906, withdrawing federal lands from development, restricting off-road vehicle use, and directing the Secretary of the Interior to prepare a management plan within 3 years in cooperation with the Pueblo de Cochiti.
