To Amend the Generalized System of Preferences

President Clinton designated Belarus and Uzbekistan as beneficiary developing countries under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), adding them to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. The tariff benefits apply to articles entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after 15 days after Federal Register publication (August 19, 1994), making the effective date September 3, 1994.
