Honoring United States Capitol Police Officers
President Biden ordered U.S. flags flown at half-staff at the White House, all federal buildings and grounds, military posts, naval stations, and embassies abroad until sunset on April 6, 2021, to honor U.S. Capitol Police officers killed in the April 2, 2021 attack on the Capitol. This is a commemorative gesture with no substantive policy directives.
