Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States
This executive order suspends for 90 days the entry of nationals from six countries (Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen), suspends the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days, caps FY2017 refugee admissions at 50,000, and mandates new screening and vetting procedures. It revokes and replaces the earlier Executive Order 13769, adding exceptions for lawful permanent residents, dual nationals, and other categories while directing multiple agency reviews and reports on security procedures.
