Continuation of the National Emergency Blocking Property of Certain Persons and Prohibiting the Importation of Certain Goods from Liberia

This notice continues for one year the national emergency declared by Executive Order 13348 on July 22, 2004, which blocks property of certain persons and prohibits importing certain goods from Liberia. The continuation is based on the ongoing threat posed by former Liberian President Charles Taylor and associates regarding unlawful depletion of Liberian resources and illicit timber trade linked to arms trafficking.
