Presidential Notice 13288

Continuation of the National Emergency with Respect to Zimbabwe

President Obama continued for one year the national emergency declared by President Bush in 2003 regarding Zimbabwe, maintaining sanctions that block property of persons undermining democratic processes or institutions in Zimbabwe. The continuation was required because the actions and policies of certain Zimbabwe government members and others still posed an unusual and extraordinary threat to U.S. foreign policy.
