Presidential Determination

Determination Pursuant to Section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962, as Amended

President Clinton determined that up to $30 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund should be made available for refugees, returnees, and conflict victims from Rwanda and Burundi. The funds may be contributed to international and nongovernmental organizations. The Secretary of State was directed to inform Congress and publish the determination.
