Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Western Balkans

President Bush continued for one year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13219 on June 26, 2001, regarding threats to peace and stability in the Western Balkans, including extremist violence and obstruction of peace agreements in Macedonia, Bosnia, and Kosovo. The continuation is authorized under section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act and extends emergency measures beyond their original expiration date of June 26, 2006.
