Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Western Balkans

President Bush continued for one year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13219 (June 26, 2001) regarding threats to peace and stability in the Western Balkans, including extremist violence in Macedonia and obstruction of the Dayton Accords and UN Resolution 1244. This annual continuation under the National Emergencies Act maintains existing sanctions and emergency measures.
