Presidential Notice 12808
Continuation of Emergency With Respect to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro)
President George W. Bush continued two national emergencies for one year: one declared May 30, 1992, regarding the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) and expanded in 1994 for Bosnian Serb actions; and another declared June 9, 1998, regarding Kosovo. The continuation maintains blocking of certain property and restrictions on transactions with persons indicted for war crimes by the ICTY until underlying claims and political conditions are resolved.
