Waiver of Sanctions on India and Pakistan
President Clinton waived sanctions on India and Pakistan until October 20, 1999, specifically allowing assistance to three conservation and environmental programs: the Asian Elephant Conservation Fund, the Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Fund, and the Indo-American Environmental Leadership Program.
