Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Burma

This executive order expands U.S. sanctions against Burma (Myanmar) by blocking property and prohibiting transactions with additional individuals and entities connected to the Burmese government, its military junta, and their supporters. It builds upon three prior executive orders (13047, 13310, 13448) targeting Burma's repression of democratic opposition, with immediate effect on May 1, 2008.
